The Fantasy Flight FlightPath makes this game enjoyable. The models are non-scale, and of general lower quality than those from FF for X-Wing/Armada/everything else. I have the base ST:AW plus an additional 6ish additional models, and it plays pretty well. I am happy with it overall, and the big upside is that older expansion waves from this are available from various FLGS/OLGS at half list or lower in the clearance bins. The installed base of players is significantly smaller than SW:XW/SW:A, but if you are a fan of any of the Star Trek iterations, there's a great chance you'll love this. The pricing is pretty good, and adding two more packs for $11 is a good deal, even if they are random. AngelBaker is correct in saying that WizKids is kinda...unspectacular.
