I currently have the Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 450, which is also wireless and sounds alright. Their main selling point for me was the fact that it's only a usb dongle, and not a huge receiver.
Should I upgrade to these? This is pretty much the best price I've seen them go for, and it's a a good deal for someone outside the US, as these are much more expensive int'l.

EorlingasThis is the best wireless headset that's available right now, Far better than anything Turtle Beach will give. The "huge Receiver" is multifunction, it comes with two batteries that you can just swap when one runs out. So that instead of worrying about charging your headset non-stop, you just have to turn off the headset for a second, switch batteries and you're good to go.
And it has great quality for being a wireless headset.

MightyMausYah, but they have quality issues. I have a base setting in my closet with extra batteries as we speak because of their horrible RMA process. My sound stopped working on the left ear after 5 weeks of light use. I recommend investigating the Plantronics RIG 800HS/HX series when they drop for $149 in September: http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/rig-800hs?skuId=sku29340015

JtjdtI don't know, I have a few friends who have also bought them right after I sold them mind. And none of us have had problems with it at all ever. I've had mine since the we could came out and I've been using it everyday for hours. And I can't say I have a single problem with it.

MightyMausYour good experience and my bad experience aside, for $300 quality control should be better. For a company targeting gamers and enthusiasts, their support should be better.
If you look at the Steelseries subreddit, it seems that a majority of the posts are about defects or tickets: https://www.reddit.com/r/steelseries/
My issues are far from isolated.

EorlingasI would not recommend these and I have owned the 450s. Even though they did not work for me, I would buy 2-3 of those before buying one of these again, and it would cost the same.

MentatMentat is right. The reviews got so bad that they changed the name of the product.

JtjdtWow, it's nice to see that I am not the only one that had issues with these. During the last drop, I offered my opinon and was burned at the stake.
