Here you go --- i guess Folks here realy donot know how much a real knife can cost ... but offcourse Wall Mart Fans are so many. I am not good at Photography .. but that was my Salad prep. with Sternsteiger Knife..
The Sternsteiger drop is back, you're back (posting replies as new threads as always). Hmmm, why do I suddenly have an eminem song stuck in my head...
Guess who's back, back again
Shady's back, tell a friend
Guess who's back, guess who's back
Guess who's back, guess who's back
Keep pumping that product, which of course you have no connection™ with (other than as a suspiciously deliriously happy customer!)
Cutting a bunch of vegetables must show me how sharp this knife is, wow, how about cutting a rope like Apogee Culinary ?
I'm sure for a knife this beauty, this good must cut the rope as ease.
And btw I'm living in Japan, currently using a Tsukiji Masamoto sentoku, their top VG-10 Knife not even cost as half as the price Sternsteiger offers on their website right now.
I don't use Walmart knife, we only have Seibu or Marui at Japan and trust me, their kitchen knife within the range 4000 ¥ look better than this.
Gives me a reason to choose it over my Masamoto please.
You better learn how to use reply button rather than spam comment
all over the place.
But for using a knife that costs this much.
You need to learn how to cut better.
Those tomatoes don't look great.
Maybe old. Maybe a dull blade.
I'm not impressed.
Especially for the supposed price.
Also ich bin Deutsch.
And you're making us look bad.
I'm the first person to defend a product I like.
But the way you're going about it, behindert.
Let people buy the knife and come back to MassDrop and give us a review.
Guten nacht mein freund! ;)
Please stop your indecipherable serial posting and blatant shilling. Christ, even if I were the knife manufacturer, I wouldn't want someone as incoherent as yourself touting my product.
Bought the knife on the last drop. Like it. I work in a restaurant and use it 6-10 hours a day.
Weighted nice. All around good knife. I cut the holy shit out of my hand with it. I even like it.
However, I've used knives which are as good as this for less than the price or at the price of the drop. Knives which dont have a suspect origins.
No where on any of the packaging does it say that this knife was made in Germany. The only paperwork that came with this was a very low quality(we're talking home computer printer, double-sided) general printout with instructions and care for any sternsteiger product. Was left feeling like you guys are likely right about this being a rebranded Chinese knife.
And to be honest I thought you and @Jaggi were being dicks at first. But I agree with your opinion. Sternsteiger is available a couple places online. Massdrop, amazon and Touch of modern. Most of what is available on amazon is being sold in Amazon
marketplace, or not available. Based on the quality of this knife and the couple my boss has purchased on touch of modern, i'd be pretty surprised if this wasnt a rebrand. It even makes me want to order the knife from alibaba to see the differences.
This purchase makes me Certainly question Sternsteiger. Show me a picture of this being made in Germany.
Also, this as a $1400 knife would be an utter waste of money. It'a good for $161(tax and shipping), but if you can get this exact knife from China at $60, that's a great deal.
I wanted to be right about my purchase, but nothing about this knife, the product info, or even the box(terrible woodwork, screws heads not level to the wood, cheap nickel plated clasps), tells me that.
I'll post some pictures of this in action tomorrow.
@Kitchenbee you are a shill. I wanted you to be right. That is not the case.
Thanks @Jefecito, makes a nice change to hear some feedback from an actual purchaser rather than a sycophantic sock puppet :)
