On March 18th, 1965, cosmonaut Aleksei Leonov dared to go where no other man had before: into space, leaving his craft for over 2 minutes in the world’s first ever space walk. Commemorating this momentous event (and the arduous trek back to Earth after the mission), the Sturmanskie Open Space watch is rooted in history. Featuring an SII NH36 automatic movement that’s capable of manual winding and hacking, the watch is reliable and accurate. The movement is encased in stainless steel. Flip the watch over and admire the decorated caseback engraved with Leonov floating through space. Equipped with a day and date window at 3 o’clock, luminous markers, and a mineral crystal, the limited-edition Open Space automatic comes in a special gift box.
