Why buy anything made in Russia or by a Russian company when they have given in again to severe human rights violations and religious persecution?

truizYou're not wrong, but lots of other watches are made in China or Malaysia which are hardly human rights leaders.

truiz This may be the only adverse/negative point worth making here, and I say that having made it myself on occasion. However, I suppose that depends on what you mean by "Russia, or by a Russian company." As a guy in the US, who for the last four years suffered the shame and embarrassment of living in a country who's voters elected a narcissistic reality show host/pathological liar as their President, I have mixed feelings. I didn't vote for that idiot, and I bet there are folks in Russia who aren't all that wild about Vladimir Putin, and who's grandparents weren't big fans of Stalin, Lenin, Rasputin, or even Ivan the Terrible--they just happened to live there. In the same way, I just happen live in a country where some folks think other folks drink the blood of babies and have lasers that start forest fires, and who recently attempted to overthrow a duly elected government and perhaps murder a few of those elected official in the process. So I'm thinking: who am I to cast the first stone at some poor shlemiel who happens to work in a Russian watch factory? So far as I know, the actual Russian government doesn't have their hand in Sturmanskie's business any further than the US government has its hand in most American companies--meaning from a companies point of view, as little as is legally possible. Therefore, until I learn more facts to the contrary, I say your argument doesn't hold Vodka!

RayFGood points all. I agree there are no doubt many individuals and businesses in Russia that do not agree with racial and religious oppression.

RayFI've got news for you. They're mostly all narcissists. An congratulations are in order for you, I suppose. You're gotten rid of the orange man who kept you awake at night biting your pillow and dubiously replaced him with a senile puppet under the control of lord only knows.

Blair_Heavenwood Don't worry, we know and we're fine with our choice. And by the way, it was the other side that had a thing for the Pillow guy. Our side knew those morons were all bat-shit crazy from the get go. Anyway, give my regards to MTG at your next Qanon party.
