I was considering this item until I saw the packaging. There's no need to have that much unnecessary and irresponsible plastic packaging. Even if it is recyclable which most plastics are not. They eventually end up in landfills, waterways . With the huge amount of plastic problem on this planet this company should know better and 'massdrop' should also know better.

aztecIn my county in California all plastics, including plastic films, are recyclable. The only exception is plastic foam.

websterhamsterThat's excellent. Do you know what percentage of the plastics ACTUALLY get recycled though? I know here in Canada most plastics are also recyclable but the number of plastics that are actually or infact recycled is very low. So in theory it's great but in practice, I don't know. I think more things should just be made out of hemp anyway.

aztecWe tend to recycle at least a majority, if not all plastics here. There are hefty fines for throwing recyclables into the garbage in my county, and the culture of recycling is pervasive throughout California. I know what you mean about plastics ending up in the garbage or just littered in nature. Pretty gross.
