The Difference<br />The main differences between the Silhouette Portrait and the Silhouette Cameo is its size and the LCD display. While many swear by having a 12" cutting surface, many casual users have mentioned that you can still accomplish this by turning your patterns sideways. This is only a problem if you want to cut something that is larger than 12x9. Meanwhile, the LCD provides handy instructional prompts to tell you what the machine is waiting for, but after a few cuts, you ignore it anyways! For those on a budget, the Portrait is more than enough machine for almost all of your projects.<br /><br />Oh, dang, @bdnb beat me to it :)
