SLCMLCand TLC refers to the structure of flash memory cells and how many bits each cell can store. SLC stands for single-level cell which stores one bit, MLC stands for multi-level cell which stores two bits and TLC stands for triple level cells which is a type of solid-state NAND flash memory that stores three bits of data per cell of flash media. TLC flash is less expensive than single-level cell (SLC) and multi-level cell (MLC). TLC SSD, with its advantage of low cost and high capacity, is becoming the mainstream in the consumer market. TLC has been in the market for many years and its performance have improve with new releases of its technology. In regards to supporting the OS, the Controller along with the TLC Flash play an important role in supporting it. Many manufacturers are using TLC in their SSD as of today because it allows the production of higher capacities at a lower cost without loosing reliability. Super Talent uses a new mature 3D TLC NAND that offers plenty of endurance, performance and durability when aggregated into the multi-TB drives that are most cost-effective. All Super Talent SSD passes through strict quality control protocols.
Super Talent guarantees the excellent performance in all its SSD drives as they are used in different fields such as Automotive & Industrial Grade and Mobile computing.. Super Talent's Silicon Valley based electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams develop leading-edge Flash memory solutions for a multitude of applications. Our engineering team enables Super Talent to bring advanced new products and technologies to market well ahead of the competition. Please be confident to use our products.

Someone in marketing needs a refresher on Ethics. Your team should be ashamed for displaying the photo for the 512GB drive when that is NOT the $35 one. Yeah, you made sure to specify in a little box as always, but next time have the default pic be of the product that is being advertised for the base price.

Awful value. Literally double the price of a comparable SSD on Amazon, Newegg, eBay, or even at Walmart or Best Buy. What the f*** Massdrop? Seriously considering leaving the site for a while. The only worthwhile options that ever pop up are some of the audio drops. Everything tech related is way too expensive.
his Super Talent SSD DURADRIVE AT7 2.5" is made with an MLC Flash which is a higher quality Flash that increases the Read/Write Speeds. The SSD with lower prices that are being promoted in other websites are made with TLC which is a lower cost of Flash.

Why make such a slow MLC drive then? 300mbps write is insanely slow for MLC; hell it's slow for most TLC and even some QLC variants. I get that MLC is more expensive, but with that price comes performance bumping up against SATA III speed limits usually, not a write speed achievable by a high end SATA II drive.

biggest issue here is you are 25 usd more then a similar sandisk with mlc so this cost 25 more and you have to wait a month vs a drive I could just buy right now. your drives may be a well known oem and high quaility but to a consumer you are not a big name like Samsung or sandisk, crucial ect so to ask a decent more then them will be a hard sell to standard users
