It's undoubtedly faster but why take this over a commando saw? Those shackles look like the first thing that will break. And this is probably lighter and cheaper too; http://www.coghlans.com/products/deluxe-pocket-saw-8304

JaccoWThat looks like an abrasive garrote for cutting things, with this saw you can at least resharpen and replace the teeth as you need to.

MaggiomanThey both have their uses for sure!
This one is tempting me way too much for my car's glovebox if in the case a smaller tree has fallen in my path. When combined with a tiedown strap, it'd dramatically increase the chances of my getting to the destination without a major detour. :)
Edit: For those looking at this, there are better ones out there. Chainmate's offerings look to be much more usable than this.

JaccoWCommando saws cut poorly and break easily. Not worth carrying in the backyard much less the wilderness.
