The pallet in the video looks like its pine, not oak. Also sounds very light. Something is up.

You are on to something there. That is clearly not a standard 40"x48" pallet. Definitely a very thin, light duty pallet. Further, pallets are one thing while branches and logs are a whole 'nother animal.
