The watch wears well especially for the size and is easy to use. I wear it when I am doing things outside and it has proven to be very tough.

Nice Watch for the money and has held up well. Only complaint is that the controls are not intuitive... This watch does a lot and I'm pretty sure I'm missing out on features, because I don't know what buttons (or combination of buttons) to push.

The option I ordered was the Tactical version with a black screen and backlit graphics. The screen is so hard to read in anything other than near darkness, that I have stopped using it. If you are scientifically and geographically competent, then the altimeter is okay. However, the watch has real difficulty differentiating between changes in altitude and changes in barometric pressure. Storm alarm keeps going off if you climb much more than a gentle slope. Finally....the buttons on the side always (95%?) affected by wrist flex, so that you look for the time and are looking at a compass bearing or storm warning. Best for a person who will use daily to get the best out of it's eccentricities.

I hate it. It is not bright enough to be readable even on the highest setting.

I Really like the Suunto line of watches, the Core series is a really good watch to start with, the watch OS is very intuitive and easy to navigate, I never refereed to the manual and didn't have many issues, it have a great look and form factor and easy to read in low light as well as day light. My only gripe is with the WRIST BAND, this is my second core, and they don't seem to last very long and are expensive to get an OEM replacement, I just bought a knock off from eBay and keep moving.

milligan308ok, seems like a common issue with these. I’ve been reading through reviews on this watch lately. Besides being a bit dated now I think may still work for me.
