My "old" one just had its bezel come off after five years of use. I guess I am in. I wish watches were built better. My Hueur and Bulova still work after 30 years. Put a new battery in my father's Citizen after 16 years laying dormant with my mom and it came to life.

ChicagoWayFor anyone interested in what this watch looks like without a bezel, wonder no longer. It's not that I do not think theCore is not a good watch. You should just manage your expectations. I tend to baby my watches and wear then inverted/inside the wrist. The bezel coming off is a known issue. I called Suunto support and the estimate is a mere $75. At this point contemplating backing out of the drop and sending my watch in. I guess I should count myself lucky. My Luminox lasted only one year.

ChicagoWayI apologize for the rant. I am backing out of this drop. I just sent my watch to Suunto with the estimated fix for $75. Just to be clear this is a known issue with this watch. People have reported it coming off just after purchase. For $154 this is a good watch if you plan on having it for about 3-4 years. I have spent $40 for a new band, and now this. So at $200 to $275 (or more) it is not such bargain. Part of my disappointment is back in the day Suunto made the best dive computers. Perhaps we have all grown accustomed to buying a watch every couple years, but watches that I still own from when I was a teenager still function. Designed in Finland, made in China, and it shows.
