Thinking to himself.... Why does this cost so much if you want to explore the globe or live in the southern hemisphere? Answering to himself.......It costs more because America needs money to fund the damage done by Trump and they don't want to pay for their own mistakes. It costs more because America is on the top side of the flat earth and as they are so bloated with their self importance they are sure that the southern hemisphere does not exist seeing all the planes stoped saying they fly there so they just threw that in as a troll(European gnome) for the people on the internet who claim that they live or went there. It costs more because America will survive without the rest of the world and does not want us to visit. It costs more because they are afraid people might emigrate if they actually find America is actually India like Columbus originally thought. It costs more because America is in the centre of the map, you don't need a compass you are already there and like - they have signs to show you where to go and cellphones so this is basically a joke which is also why they have low stock. Its more expensive cause they want you to buy it elsewhere like probably Treckinn. It costs more so Drop (formerly mass drop ) can give some money to Kayne West who will not only buy overpriced iem's but is also Americas last joke (sorry hope) after the Purge and Idocracy however many a true word said in jest.

I was thinking of getting this to replace my 30 year old compass, but when I go to the purchase page, the centimeter scale with global needle isn't available. Nevermind then...

We don't always get as much quantity as we want for each model and often a few options will sell out before the run is over. I'm glad you were finally able to snag the one you wanted!

Trying to get a closer look... If that hinge is made of metal, that'll reduce the accuracy a bit since the compass is mounted closer to the top. However, definitely not knocking compasses as a whole because all the technology in the world is useless in the wilderness.

Meh. I've spent many nights out "in the wilderness" often with a lot of still very useful technology.

Nah, most compasses point north, but you're not trying to find north, are you? I've watched Pirates of the Caribbean: curse of the black Pearl too much...
