I've owned this system for over 5 years. For those of you experiencing the humming/buzzing I had that as well. What I did was wrap the cables in ferrite cores, which was a quick + low-cost remedy. (You can get a pack for ~$10 on Amazon.) To understand how ferrite cores deal with RF interference:

Does it completely eliminate the buzzing? No. Does it reduce audio quality? I can't say for sure, but I haven't noticed any degradation. I know that when I lived in SF the interference/buzzing was worse (I lived in a very old apartment) and it wasn't as bad when I moved to my new place. But regardless the ferrite cores did noticeably help.
