Would anyone be willing to sell just their control dial? I lost mine while moving and until I get a new one, I can't use my system. I'd be more than happy to pay a fair amount for it!

Would these be an upgrade from the promedia 2.1's? Thinking of selling mine and getting something with a cleaner more balanced sound. But yaknow with the option of bass

I have a love hate with my 305's, they don't fill a room like normal speakers, but are amazing for computer use...but you need a ground loop and a 3.5mm to TRS/XLR to use them, or an external DAC. And the dead flat response allows you to use an EQ to get the exact sound you're after.

KethI just saw your reply. I agree that studio monitors highly depend on positioning while these satellite speakers are more likely to sound good across the room.

I highly recommend these, we got this on our home + the m10 :)

Why do people buy these when you can get the 305's for $200 a pair pretty much anywhere? Not knocking them but I really don't get why they're popular...

Ghost_PackA few reasons: they look beautiful, have a sub-woofer, volume control unit, size of satellites. These aren't supposed to be compared to studio monitors, but 2.1 setups like the klipsch, bose (yes I know they suck) logitech, etc.

Ghost_PackLSR305's are closer to $300 a pair in the US, and don't offer the base or ease of connection to a PC that a set like this does.

The THD rating is humorous.

But you were basing your comment off of a complete guess correct? You do not know the true THD, but just making an assumption based off your experience with other companies and products that look similar to this one. Unless I am wrong and you have heard and tested these speakers.

Destro506I've actually built a few speaker systems with Hivi drivers, so yes, I do feel qualified to comment. I'd still like to see the anechoic sweep at 1W.

My dream speakers right here. Too bad I already have my z906 which I bought a few years ago and I'm broke anyway. But if you're in the market for these I wouldn't hesitate to get his puppy.

Darn...should have waited on getting these vs the Kanto Yu2. I have had my M10's now for 7 years and I loved them (subwoofer having to go on the desk aside but made it work).

FlameTexThe M10 has a midwoofer, which is intended to site on the desk so - you're doing it right.
