Back before high quality audio was a standard, Swan was one of the first companies to put studio quality sound in a compact, complete package that fit easily on a desk. The once and future kings of multimedia speakers, Swan continues their desktop dominance with the X3, a pair of twin speakers that pumps out as much clarity and power as units double their size.
X Gon Give It To Ya
Tucked safely away in die-cast aluminum cabinets, the X3 features 3 in woofers and 0.80 in metal dome tweeters in each individual speaker. The surrounding structure was designed for the smoothest and most accurate frequency response possible, as well as a precise soundstage. The highs and mids are clear and bright, but the lows may be a little light for the biggest bassheads. If that’s the case, just attach an active subwoofer- like the Swan H6- and make it a 2.1 system.
Freshmen Adjustment
To connect to your audio source, simply plug the 1/8 in input into your computer or mobile device and plug a RCA output into each speaker. You can independently adjust both speakers, with the volume knob at the front and the bass, mid, and treble switches at the back. To minimize distortion from sound vibration, the X3 comes with rubber bases for desktop placement, but the speakers can also be mounted easily on the wall.
