This is $20 > than All-Clad. What makes these so great? I am under the impression that All-Clad are pretty much the standard.

Daaa all clad nonstick is a simple PTFE based coating, with a relatively low usage life, the Swiss Diamond coating on the other hand is superior, based on the XD technology, diamond particles on top of the plasma coating.
On top of that, the Swiss Diamond handle is ergonomic and comfortable to use, it has 5ply construction, with welded handles to prevent bacteria buildup on the interior, and closed edges for easy pouring and for safety.
