Opted for the eight pen roll to hold Japanese maki-e pens. It had exactly three pens in it when my wife requisitioned it for her own purpose. Until then it was great though.
Pro tip: I own a few of the single-pen wraps in both poly and silk, and the silk will show its wear more easily then the polyester wraps.
