There are only 25 pieces and yet they struggle to sell them, I wonder why is that... I don't think there are lots of people who want a pen that is impractical to write with....seriously, caligraphy pens are better daily writers than these. They are pretty though I have to mention.

Simply cannot image how I am supposed to use this? Am I supposed to write with the aluminum cap on? What a disastrous design.

It is more like a collector's item (read: not for daily usage).

Regardless whether a $800 pen qualifies for a "collectible" (maybe yes from its number of production), that doesn't justifies a terrible anti-functional design of it. Even admitting it is a collector's pen, it is a pen first before it can be collected. Pelikan, montblanc and many other prestigious manufacturers sell way more expensive pens that can be collected, and easily used.

inelegant dysfunctional ungraceful
3 strikes. You're out.
What's worse is they recognized some of this, because of the stupid sleeve. And this could've been gorgeous...if they hadn't plumped it up so much it reminds me of a Butterball turkey.
And yeah...even then, Nakaya offers more interesting AND more usable shapes. And many more color options. So you can have a nice little work of art in your hand, and actually *use* it.

Some people understand artisan cheese and craft beer; others are stuck at Bud Lite and Velveeta.
Granted, the listing here deserves scoff.

Just so everyone knows, there's a sleeve included to make that step-down more comfortable. Crazy design though hahah.

Looking at the pictures, it's a broad. My guess is they are all broad.
I get the sense that this pen isn't designed to be used, but is more designed to be a collector item, something to show off in a display case.
I like the concept, if it was better designed in the grip area, I'd buy it. I have a couple $500+ pens, but I want to write with them, not just look at them.

Looks like this is a pen for lookin’ at, not for writing. It is strikingly beautiful though.
