The bolt on mine sticks badly to the point I'm worried about breaking the mechanism. Has anyone eye experienced this? I'm upset that it worked well for a month and now is having such an issue with advancing the lead. Any advice is welcomed.

Have you just contacted Tactile Turn directly? I had just a question about refill compatibility on the rollerball and Will was super helpful and nice. I've seen him around on here before too.

Mine stuck a little bit until I lubricated it with Krytox (expensive teflon lube) but any light mineral oil will probably work just as well. I use mine very frequently. That said, contact Tactile Turn (like the other person said) He's been excellent at responding and really knows his stuff.

in a word: no. I looked into this and it would require breaking the loctite that holds the end on and re-seating it with more loctite.

Sure, we use 6AL-4V for the front, back interior, and bolt. The middle part is made from Grade 9 tube.

Debating on buying this. My current daily is a Rotring 800 that I have had for a year and still love it. I bought it for the retractable tip, because I kept bending the nibs on mechanical pencils. Wish this had a retractable tip, and available in 0.4 (I know that's odd,) but still debating on grabbing one.

Love Will's stuff. Wish the pens were a bit narrower though. They're too thick for my hands.

According to the first paragraph, this uses the Schmidt DSM 2007 pencil mechanism, which I have only been able to find in 0.7mm. It also says that it comes available with 0.5mm. Are you using the Schmidt DSM 2006 for the 0.5mm option here? I have read online the 2006 has a plastic body and might not be as durable and the 2007 only comes in 0.7mm.
Thanks! ~

The DSM 2007 definitely comes in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm. We do not use the 2006.

Hi TactileTurn,
Thanks for the reply! Looks like I was wrong about the DSM 2007. Now I just have to decide which color I want.
