Product Description
The name of the company behind these sleek pens, Tactile Turn, reveals much of their charm. Designed with a satisfying click mechanism (activated by pressing the bottom of the pen to deploy the tip and the side of the pen to close it), they’re quick on the draw and built to last a lifetime Read More

Tactile feel!
Its loud and proud Good to fidget with. Probably not the best option to bring for a meeting of sorts. But edc wise its good. Minor gripe with the clip leaving the top exposed rather high but thats not a deal breaker

Perfectly machined, pleasing materials, and nice heft
The only thing I’d change is the balance—the pen seems rather top-heavy. But perhaps that is a matter of fit rather than a problem with the pen. I should have opted for the medium-length pen.

Buy the bolt action pen, not the side click.
I bought a bolt-action as a holiday gift for a friend. It was fantastic, so I had no reservations about following up with a side-click this year. Unfortunately, QC was not up to par. The click action is noticeably janky. When we removed the clip to install the damascus clip, we found several large metal shavings inside the barrel. Tactile Turn's customer service was sort of helpful, so I'm giving an extra star for that. But these aren't the sort of issues one should find in a high-end pen. I suggest buying the bolt-action until they sort things out.

Beautiful and functional
this was my first tactile turn pen. I know own 3. The milling is incredible. There is a seam where the shaft and the tip cap come together that you wouldn’t know is there if you didn’t read the instructions for replacing a cartridge. The timascus options make these pens even more beautiful.

Nice quality and could be better
Good built quality as usual. The click action doesn’t as smooth as expected. Would like to have the disassembly instructions for the clicking mechanism (not sure about if the design allows easy disassemble.

Great, but prefer the Bolt Action
I really like Tactile Turn pens because the standard length uses the Pilot G2 refills (my favorite) without having to cut them down. I also have the Bolt Action and prefer it over this one; the action is snappier and more fun, and there's no risk of extending the point accidentally (important with a gel refill). Plus, the clip on the Bolt Action is more practical even if this one (in the Ti Damascus) is prettier. The action has smoothed out noticeably with some use, but is still not as nice as the Bolt Action. It makes no practical difference, but the tip on mine is just a hair too large, so the point has a tiny bit of movement; there's none at all on my Bolt Action. If you do get the upgraded clip, you'll have to install it, and it takes a good Torx bit/driver and steady hand to get the original clip screws out without damaging them. The only "complaint" I have is that the pen is slipperier than I would like even with the machined texture.

Fantastic pen
Looks and feels great. Very nice weight in the hand and the color shift of the bronze over time is pretty cool

The only pen I use anymore
The machining on these is impeccable. I have been using this pen daily and it still looks brand new. The Timascus clip is a great look addition.

Super durable pen and perfect design. Almost flawless execution.
If you like the idea of the AG7 astronaut pen from fisher, this is that but overbuild to the maximum. This pen will outlast you, and your children. The mechanism is simple and reliable; however, it is not as smooth and refined as one might expect (let’s say compared to the fisher), but that’s not the point. If I had to take a pen with me onto mars or an arctic expedition, this would be it. The short size is small enough to fit into any shirt pocket. The clip is perfect. The texture is very functional. I bought this together with the bolt action, but find myself only ever carrying/using the side click.   If I had to come up with a few improvements to the design: the inside of the pen body and the moving parts (slider & button-spring) could be high-polished and pre-greased for much better smoothness. Also, making the Slider and Button-spring out of hardened stainless steel instead of titanium would cause much less friction and make this mechanism wear a lot better. Titanium against titanium wears very poorly. There would be no break-in required. High-polishing metal parts, especially steel, is not very difficult or time consuming with the right machinery, which I’m sure Tactile turn already has. For 100$ I would like to see that.
