With these being made in the USA will there be NAFTA certificate for us Canadians? Would be nice to skip paying the duty fees. If your goods are marked as made in the United States, Canada or Mexico, and are accompanied by a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) certificate, no duty is payable.

I only own a gist fountain pen in copper (and a rollerball conversion tip as well) and I cannot even begin to describe how high quality these are. The ultra precise machining on the body creates an obscenely satisfying texture to just run your fingers along. His thread engagement is so precise, it never crossthreads (something other metal on metal pens can be very, very prone to) If I didn't already have my perfect ballpoint (a one-off prototype solid brass fisher AG-11 space pen that they never put into production) I would own one of these in a heartbeat. I love the side click mechanism so much.

"If I didn't already have my perfect ballpoint (a one-off prototype solid brass fisher AG-11 space pen that they never put into production) I would own one of these in a heartbeat. I love the side click mechanism so much." - OK, now that's just a tangent-y nugget of info that (at least) this person wants some follow-up about; what's this perfect AG11 you speak of!?! The previous comment I made on this discussion page links to a thread where I talked about side click style writing instruments, including the Fisher AG7, yet if you could tell more about this AG11 prototype (and share pics, since it's a one-off), then I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Or just work really, really hard to learn to keep track of the things you carry. I used to lose pens constantly, but once I started getting nice ones, I just stopped losing them kinda overnight. I've had to backtrack to a hospital once before when a nurse tried to steal my Fisher AG-7. But that was it in the ten years I've had using way-too-nice pens in EMS.

I used to deliver pizza and customers would steal my pens all day I've went back to my car realize my pen is missing and knock on there door say you got my pen 100% they look for it find it and say sorry my response "its the lowest level of theft possible taking someone's dollar pen! They laugh and remember it!

At the risk of sounding like a shill, Tactile Turn makes fantastic pens. I own several in the various materials. If you're not sure about weight, I highly recommend the Titanium. It's quite light, and the texture that runs the entire body of the pen makes it very comfortable to grip. Also, the Copper has a natural antimicrobial property. Very useful given the current health crisis, though hand washing is still recommended.

I have one from the initial release and it is great. The click/release is smooth and very satisfying. I went with a Short Bronze with a Damascus Tip + Clip, it looks fantastic. I'll post a photo when I can. I upgraded the refill to a Monteverde Gel in Blue/Black as well.

Still sorta new, and took me a while to realize you added the photos to the drop, and not to the reply - oops! Cool that this drop's less than the launch price, so I can get one for the better half as well. Anyway, the images of the one I got are over yonder: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/tactile-turns-new-side-click-writing-instrument-available-10-jun-20.141187/#post-2714754

They aren't... at all? They're shaped similarly, but there are only so many clip designs you can fit on a pen without being gaudy. Look at the screw hole gap. Completely different. Titanium damascus is not an anodized color pattern. It's literally pattern welded titanium. That's why it's so obscenely expensive. These aren't the same at all.

That's why he offers so many variations in materials. I prefer copper containing materials, others prefer titanium, others prefer the economical nature of aluminum, others prefer resin. For those who want a little bling and have the cash, he even makes some solid zirconium pens and whole pattern-welded titanium pens. And some (like me) prefer screw caps and fountain pens, so he makes the Gist.
