scottluYou're comparing apples to Oranges. This is a kit, which means you get to choose which switches and stabilizers and LEDs you install. It's a fully custom keyboard. If you want an assembled one, you're looking in the wrong place. In parts alone this is a good value kit.
yanfalithe kbdfans , a assembled one for $161.00, with metal case. gateron switch.
same options from massdrop is $151.21 , plus the assembly fee from kbdfans.com 10$, which is exactly same price as kbdfans.
so what's the point of group buy?
scottluI'm guessing you don't build custom keyboards? Most people who are interested in a kit want switches that aren't available in the drop. Think of it as a courtesy. Or already own keycaps. But hey that's ok, you be you my dude. To each their own. It's ok if you don't get the hobby. It's not for everyone.
scottluThis is cheaper and has more options (and keycap options not available otherwise). It's fine to not know what you're talking about, but it's not fine to pretend you do.
