It says that the Estimated ship date is Apr 23, 2018 PT. If I join the drop now, is this really the estimated date or is there a chance I will receive it sooner? Realistically, I may need it in a couple of weeks.

DesibiduI was part of the September group buy, and I just received a notification that my label was created. That's the thing with group buys; you get a discount but you gotta wait. If you want the board asap, go check out KBDfans, it's not gonna be as cheap as Massdrop but you'll get it in less than a week.

DesibiduThere are times when Massdrop gets it out earlier, a month at most but usually a couple weeks. Apr 23 should be when you expect it to be shipped, even if you've gotten multiple early ship dates like some of the drops I've been part of. Sometimes something could go wrong and it takes even longer. If you need the keyboard in a few weeks, this isn't your best option.

If you order from KBDfans it comes as a kit that you have to solder and assemble yourself but from MD it's pre-assembled. Is that correct?
