I wish key-cap drops especially ones made by Massdrop, have multi-layout support for the popular brands.
My Corsair/Cooler Master/Nighthawk OEM keyboards are always left out, kinda sucks to change everything but R1 :(

chanhuangThey do. Many sets support popular layouts like Planck, Ergodox, 40%,60%,65%,75%,TKL,96key etc. Gaming trio is hostile and won't be supported, only option to get normal keyboard. They aren't superior in any way.

ValiumThe spacebar row R1, different manufacturers use different sizes for the CTRL, ALT, Windows Key, and Spacebar .... I have only seen 1 set with extra keys to support the different sizes, additionally some keyboards have a 2x row enter-key.

ValiumWhy the hostility though? It's not like these companies tried to sabotage this hobby or something. And it's not like the sales are gonna be a problem, there are far more gaming keyboards out there than ergodox/plank/40%. I'm sure massdrop will sell a lot more by including logitech, corasair, razer options.

zombo123Because we want to keep standard to easily switch keysets. We already have headaches to support many layouts, but they at least have a purpose (smaller case, more compact). Gamer boards focuses on this windows key so much it boggles my mind, making it smaller (i can see why, but why not just disable or reprogram it) then another key to disable windows key (like in corsair k95 platinum) - what?

zombo123As a happy Corsair K70 owner (among others I have), the main reason is that damn spacebar. The 6.5u size is something very very few keycap manufacturers produce. Razer uses a 6u which is more common in the SA and DSA sets, but that's about it.
If you go to pimpmykeyboard.com, they do sell DSA (http://pimpmykeyboard.com/dsa-spacebars-pack-of-1/) and DCS (http://pimpmykeyboard.com/dcs-spacebars-pack-of-1/) spacebars in various sizes. Alternatively, you can get a custom kit from maxkeyboards.com which will ship with 6u, 6.25u, or 6.5u spacebars.
If you're looking for SA or GMK 6.5u...well, don't get those keycaps.

DukrousI found a lot of options for razer on aliexpress and all custom keycaps nowadays seem to have the spacebars kit available (Nautilus includes 6u spacebar in the base kit! yay). I just wish they were more common in these cheap sets (tai hao and such). But I shouldn't complain here.

zombo123Yeah, it's a lot easier to get Razer spacebars, and hopefully the center stemmed 6u like in Nautilus becomes more popular.
