Product Description
This tough, two-toned doubleshot PBT set of keycaps from Tai-Hao is resistant to friction and capable of withstanding extreme temperatures—but it’s sure to kick up the heat on your favorite board. Made from PBT, which is widely regarded as the material of choice in the mech keys community, the caps are resistant to the oils and shine that accumulate from typing, and the legends won’t fade Read More
XiKThese look good - there's very little bleed-thru on the white keys, which is impressive. The Vortex PBT set I have shows a lot of the backlight around the labels, but these look very sharp.
Can someone confirm if these are in fact cherry profile and thus taihao have changed their tooling or molds, or if they are the regular oem-like profile as other taihao sets?
Take a look at this and compare to photos of the set:

To clarify - there's absolutely nothing wrong with OEM profile and sets from Taihao are usually of nice quality.
Cherry profile sets however (especially with shine-through legends) are quite a bit more rare, so getting this info right is crucial.
Got mine a little earlier than expected. Great keycap set, the pictures in the drop just do not do it justice.
These softer textured PBT keys are well-built, a good thickness compared to the ABS doubleshots they are replacing. Installed on a ducky shine 5 with cherry blues. Shine-through is great. Only thing I do not like is spacebar it comes with (came with two actually, both rather thin). The kb RGB lights up the spacebar to the point where you can see through it, which looks cheap. Otherwise, very very happy so far (might just swap out the spacebar later.)
epimethDefinitely not speaking with any authority here, but.....why wouldn't it? If shipping costs are based on size and weight, wouldn't the price go up if you ordered more?
YabosMcGeeYes in some proportion that makes sense. The more I add the less I should pay per ounce! If I order two sets separately it'll cost me less than two together. That's nonsense.
There's no good reason to trust massdrop with your money, unless you want to get scammed but also want to wait for a few months before you realize that you got scammed.
Just look at what happened to the Ducky Pocket drop from April! https://www.massdrop.com/buy/ducky-pocket-rgb-mechanical-numpad/talk
seidenfischEverybody is entitled to their opinions but I don't think it's fair to say that Massdrop is scamming anyone. I used to rag on MD quite frequently, you can go back through my post history and probably find some of my comments. I've changed my tune over the years though and have felt like I've saved money, gotten quality products I would never have known about before if not for MD, and that I've actually learned things about myself and the world around me through interacting with people on MD's platform. MD hasn't failed me to date and I'm honestly surprised they can run things so smoothly given the complicated logistics of working with at least 50 different vendors every day for bespoke and niche products to get to people as quickly as possible. They've brought their shipping fees down over time, their shipping times for most drops have improved and now we get Massdrop-made products that are actually pretty legit, like those Merino socks they are selling now (I'm a whore for socks though, as I skate in very tight PF Flyer's and very few socks fit those shoes AND my road cycling cleats).
