I own many premium cap sets and I was really surprised by the quality of these given the low cost. They are fun colors and the doubleshot construction was well-executed. The feel of these keys is (naturally) different from the feel of doubleshot abs keys by signature plastics; those are very smooth and hard, these have more texture and almost a softness to the touch. The feel is also different from GMK caps' quasi-pebbly texture. Finally, these are noticeably better quality than stock OEM caps on even nice prebuilt boards. I will happily buy Tai Hao caps again. The cable in my picture was made by Zap and it matches perfectly; those guys are badasses.
I love these keycaps. I had been waiting for an Ergo-specific 1976 drop for a long time. But I finally decided to go with these, and couldn’t be happier with the results.
berzerkeleyanI would definitely buy an infinity case off of you, if you have an extra one! Or, if you're aware of where I could find one. I've posted on /r/MM a couple of times, but no luck. Thank you!
I have never bought keycaps before, so I have limited comparisons I can make, However, the texture on the caps is nice. I see no glaring flaws with the caps. It is possible the spacebar is ever so slightly askew though. The color scheme is delightful. I am never unsure of where my board is, and I am always pleased to be typing on it. It is possible that I make fewer mistakes typing due to the rows being different colors.
I've gotten more compliments on these keycaps than anything else I've ever owned. True story. If the universal admiration of coworkers is worth $35 to you (or you just want to spice up your desk with a blast of bright colors), get these! No warped or weird keys in my set, but the light-colored keys do require periodic cleaning since over time the rough texture will exfoliate your fingers and collect skin gunk.
These are beautiful keys on my Ducky keyboard (keyboard is a navy blue) not only do the keys feel amazing, but they get compliments anytime someone visits the office
I have two sets of these, and have to say they are great. They obviously get dusty and dirty, so they need cleaning maybe sooner than you would black key caps, but they look almost fake, in how bright- almost cartoony they look, like a who framed Roger Rabbit kind of feel. I have noticed, that my space bar and numpad enter key don't fit the mech key thing very well. They pop out of the white plastic holder when I hit one side of the space bar for example. I've noticed similar things for both sets of my keycap sets, on the bigger keys that require stabilizers. On my home keyboard, even after replacing the metal stabalizers and plastic key holder things, it still wanted to come undone, so I had to glue the plastic spacer to the key.
