I type on a full blank set every day and while I do fine with most of the board, I do still have issues with the number row. Getting the hang of it though.
Dude I feel you. I think I cheated when I was younger in all my typing classes. Speaking of which. Mario teaches typing was the the hype! back on track. I still can’t be bothered to memorize my keys.
So, we ever going to see a full set of these? This is what I want. The limited keys is just that... limiting. I love these... but.... my other keys are jealous and lacking by comparison.
Please make full set.
Please make a full set.
I bought the same a few years ago and FYI they get dirty really fast, I had to clean them every week with a toothbrush. Especially the ones which had bright colors (which is the case here!)
m28mSo do I every time I go out (my wife says it's an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder!). That said, even if you're like me and wash your hands at least 5 times/day, you can't avoid dirt.
Anyway I've taken my old ergodox out to take a picture for you!
There's so much dust it looks dirty but believe me it's only dust... except for the green key: you clearly see how dirty this gets. If your son puts your hands on it once it becomes like this... and I have two children!
For what it's worth to any potential buyers: I've determined this is a shit product. Don't let their presence on Drop trick you - they're just shitcraft from China. I won't buy them again because I've gone through two sets of these, having found that they wear down smooth so quickly (which also has the effect of distorting the lettering).
Quantify quickly? I can't, but I can tell you that I work full time during the day, am in graduate school in the evening, and spend most of my remaining time doing research, writing research papers, sleeping, and commuting. I have very little time to game and still these fuckers wear down in ~9 months.
For the same price and free same-day shipping, you can Prime these textured shine-through keycaps from Corsair. You don't get as many and they aren't rubberized, but they do hold up better. If you absolutely must have the rubberized feel and are a DIY'er, consider various techniques to rubberize them yourself, unless you don't mind repurchasing them on Massdrop and waiting a month for shipping.
user73Maybe you need to wash your greasy hands before use, Mine are holding up just fine and just ordered more directly from Tao Hao directly.
I can’t even fathom to think what you must do to these keycaps to smooth them out? These are one of the best most sturdy keycaps I’ve ever used.
what’s even funnier is your referring even worse chinese “shitcraft” “chinese” keycaps made in china, but the letters on your referred keycaps wear off quickly and the rubber keycaps themselves are poorly glued into a cheap chinese plastic shell that has issues with coming lose and falling out.
LOL. I’ll stick with Tao Hao, thanks.
dzncYep.. if they're going to send 'half' of the order and then mark the "transaction" as 'completed' people will ask why this is.. if Massdrop had simply, from the start, stated that half the drop was going to be sent out and the rest would be delivered before or by the drop date, there wouldn't have been an initial issue... after people started receiving half the drop... Massdrop even sent out a 'sorry email' stating this and clearing up the confusion they created... so it's rather confusion than 'impatiences.'
I wish tai hao would come out with a blank set of these. I am like other people here, I have a set, and using it makes my other keys feel like crap. I would buy a blank set in every color they offered these keys are so comfortable!!
OmnisharpI've seen it described both r4 as esc row and r1 as esc row. It unfortunately doesn't appear to be "standardized," so to speak. Not that we have a standards org.
Thanks, I saw those last time they came round but decided against them because of the colours. Might just get them next time and hope in the future they also do the grays here but blank.
