My first PBT doubleshot keycap set, coming from ABS keycaps on my old Leopold. Love the texture on these and the color scheme is easy on the eyes. The combination of the slate keys w/ black lettering w/ the gray keys w/ pink lettering is a lot more desirable than I expected it to be. Had these on my Leopold and just moved them over to the WASD V2 87-key that came in today.
Def recommend these for anyone interested in their first PBT keycap set.

I'll qualify this review with the fact that I went through an MK obsession for a while a year or two ago. I have too many keycap sets from cheap, thin, pad-printed ABS that shines and wears if you look at them wrong to group buy ABS SA profile caps that I joined on MD and at many PBT and ABS sets at price points in between. These are my favorite, though - they're sitting on a cheap, Chinese TKL from Amazon with Outemu blue switches. Positives: The color scheme is very attractive and not too gaudy. The caps have a slightly rough texture to them and have a very satisfyingly solid feel as you type. The price point is great for a . Negatives: None; I had no issues with tight or loose fits, font mis-shoots, or anything else. Neutral points and other thoughts: I definitely prefer PBT. There are font settings I like more (center-printed, large alphas like on several PMK/SP sets), but these are not distracting. I would prefer a set in DSA profile, but know that won't happen. Sad.

Quality is very good for the price. Sure, PMK caps are thicker, but these are still very solid, and a considerable step up from the ABS keys that come with your standard Corsair or Logitech.
Legends are clear and distinct, colors consistent, and the feel has a pleasant texture that doesn't shine or smooth out.

These look and feel great! The "SNES" color scheme on the alphas brings back fond memories of my gaming salad days, and the almost-black modifiers look awesome. The plastic might be a little thinner than you're expecting, but since I put them over the notoriously heavy Cherry green switches, this actually had the welcome effect of making the switches a little easier to press. Highly recommended, especially for the price!

Cement/Lavender alpha keys with Slate/Lilac modifier keys I use Cherry MX Black on a Varmilo VA87M. They sound just as good as the stock PBT keycaps that came with it. They do have a rougher texture and I really love that feeling.

The quality just wasn't there
They felt way too grainy to me.

It's Tai-Hao. They're solid for the price. My only problem with this was that they came jumbled in a box and I had to organize them myself before putting them on a board. For the price, you can't beat it. The PBT is nice and smooth and the laser etching is nice. You can get them faster at other locations but if you're in no rush and want to save a couple dollars, go for it. You'll get a novelty key for MD with it as well which is cool, I guess.

Pros: * Love the color scheme (lilac on cement) * Love the font * Left-center justification is visually pleasing
Cons: * Poor quality control * Inconsistent key thickness * Some of the cherry mx anchor sites are tigher than others. For example right-shift and space bar were a nightmare to setup because the side anchors attached to the stability bar were so loose they would come off before I had the chance to place it properly on the switch.

I’ve been using the Tai Hao PBT keycaps for 3 days. The only caps I can compare them to are the original keycaps from my CM Storm (ABS Plastic) and Leopold F660C (PBT Doubleshot). Below are a list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- Textured feel. More textured than either of the keycaps on the CM Storm and Leopold F660C. - Alpha legends. Crisp and easy to read. - Provide a subtly different sound. The thickness of the keycaps helps take away some of the high end “click” from MX Blue switches. - Color Scheme (Cement/Lavender alphas with Slate/Lilac modifiers).
Cons:
- Homing bars. The bars on F and J are not as pronounced as I would have liked them to be. - Text modifiers. The text appears faint at some angles.
Overall, I’m content with the purchase. They feel great and won’t fade quickly. They’re thicker than the PBT keycaps on the F660C which was a pleasant surprise. You get quality PBT keycaps for the fragment of the cost of some higher priced sets.
