A limited-edition acoustic guitar from Takamine, the LTD 2015 Renge-So celebrates more than 50 years in the business, and is named for a flower that grows at the base of Mount Takamine in Japan. Made from spruce and rosewood in a glossy black finish, the dreadnought body features delicate inlays of green abalone, mother-of-pearl, and blue purfling depicting the flower Renge-So. And lest you be worried it’s more show than go, its top-notch playability earned the Editors’ Pick Award from Guitar Player Magazine.

Fine Craftsmanship, Warm Sound
The Renge-So has a generous C-shaped neck, and its finely worked, smooth-tipped frets offer an easy glide along the fingerboard. It delivers abundant volume and sustain, along with great dynamic response and touch sensitivity. Thanks to the new and improved CTP-3 CoolTube preamp, it’s well equipped for live performance, using a 12AU7 dual-triode running at low voltage to enhance the warmth of the sound. Other cosmetic details include rosette inlays on the ebony fingerboard, a matching ebony bridge, and a black headstock bearing the Takamine logo in abalone inlay.
