Fantastic lens! Fast and sharp. The stabilization works wonderfully, even on a Metabones adaptor to a Sony mount. I have more than a dozen lenses in my kit and this is one of the most useful.

I am extremely happy with this lens. Within a couple days of getting this lens I went to Wolf's Camera and was able to do some comparrison shots between this and the Canon 24-70. Yes, there are differences in the picture quality of the lenses but they are extremely minute! Especially when you consider the fact that the Canon lens is almost twice as high as the Tamron. Although you want your lens to help produce as clear and sharp a photo as possible I believe that using this lens for portraits you will still maybe have to soften the pictures a little, especially on older people. This was my best purchase of camera equipment in the last couple years.
