Product Description
Completely absent of numerals, corporate logos, and frills, the Tangramatic 39a follows the 20th-century German Bauhaus ideology of reuniting creativity and manufacturing. It’s unquestionably creative: Every hour is done in thin, stylized text that’s easy to read and eye-catching Read More

Sad part is, if you just removed the numbers I would really like this watch. Currently it is atrocious.

I am actually a fan of the "Moon" version of this with the white lumed face. I wish that was being offered as an option.

arp415Yup, the white faced version looks 10 times better, even though very "niche" in design to have many people throwing 250 USD at a horological comic book - however fun that sounds on paper! ;)

Original design, but definitely not Bauhaus - the definition of which is totally wrong in the product description as stated. Yes, Bauhaus brings design and functionality together, but by keeping the first to its strict minimum and, where possible, absolute symmetry, in favor of the second (functionality). The Junghans Max Bill, or some Mondane watches are good examples of Bauhaus design codes applied to watches - and have nothing to do with this.
This being said, it's an original and different design, with decent technical specs for the price. If I didn't already have about 50 watches on my purchase waiting list, I would consider it. So, why not, but definitely not as the "Bauhaus" timepiece of a collection!

I'd agree it's not minimalist, but if you like the design then go for it. It may be an Accord referred to as a Mercedes, but if one likes the accord why not?

In its favour though: good high beat movemen, sapphire crystal, 100m WR. Otherwise I agree, it's almost the antithesis of Bauhaus.

This particular model's design may not be very successful, and it is certainly not Bauhaus. But I just visited their web site, and look at the Nereid Twenty Seventeen https://tangramatic.com.au/blogs/articles/nereid-twenty-seventeen inspired by the chadburn. Overall I think there are some interesting designs there, perhaps their product line needs a bit of editing. Kudos to MD to bring about another brand to our attention.

this is about as bauhaus as an Invicta SubAqua. I'm all for unique dials on watches, lookup "Fortis IQ watch" . but this is a poor attempt.
