Interesting input from both of you guys. I'm new to the forum and this my first post please bear that in mind when reading this. For whoever was asking I have an AT-LP120-USB, with an AT440MLa, Technics rubber matand upgraded AT counterweight. I didn't remove the internal preamp because I intend to pass it on (sell it) later when I can get my hands on a new Technics when available if I can get the money together. I'm using a Bellari VP-530 (while disabling the TT's internal preamp) and sending the output to a pair of B&O S9 speakers. Alternatively I can output to a pair B&O 4000 through my old Beocenter 2300 (auxiliar input) and the sound is really good with this setup as it is expected with this active speakers. Yes, the sound can be improved but it doesn't urge me to do it... The discussion between CD and vinyl (without spending a house-worth of money on equipment) is a neverending one. I read some reviews and for this money the Teac TT is a good option for the average listener especially at this price. I'd reccomend it to anyone that doesn't have the money and time to look for the "audiophile" TT (and the system that should come along with), and bear in mind that the term audiophile has been used and abused lately. This Teac TT is ideal for whoever wants to give his/her parents' old collection a spin or has been buying some vinyl and is experiencig music in a different way... I mean the warmth of sound, the big cover and sleeve, the reward that comes from overcoming the urge to skip to the next track on your playlist and just enjoy the moment. Word of advice though, clean your vinyl and please look it up on how to do it reasonably without getting overly paranoid abouit and for whatever is good and loved in this world don't ever use tap water or do that glueish thing. If you look at prices and quality around this is a good deal for an entry level TT that won't kill you vinyl like those suitcase-TTs that shouldn't have been revived anyway. If it comes with the AT-95E do stick to it since it's is an all-round good entry option. It'll be gentle to your vinyl and not too picky on old vinyl unlike a much brighter option. My two cents...
