at $40 on amazon, this keyboard is a steal for those who like to tinker. A couple of things to keep in mind though: the stock Outemu red switches are baaaad, very "chalky" feeling and not smooth at all even after trying to lube them. The caps aren't the prettiest but are actually decent quality - they feel great to type on. Replacing the switches is simple but you have to be slightly careful to make sure the legs of the switches wind up in the holes instead of hitting the pcb and getting bent when installed. Also this keyboard is relatively "tall" so a wrist rest is a good idea. Here's mine after installing a micro usb port, new switches and caps, and applying a "skin":

captain_sparklepantsLooks great. I agree as well. I have the blues, which I like quite a bit. I have barely used my Ducky or Varmillo since I got it. Did you follow a guide on the usb port, or just DIY? Also, what did you use for the skin? Thanks.

Thumper13For the USB mod I bought a USB breakout board from adafruit, soldered on the leads from the plug that's already in the case, expanded the hole at the back of the case with a dremel, and used two-part epoxy putty to mount the breakout board to the bottom of the case. The skin is a vinyl film from WallPops.
