Very tough and tiny
I put The TEC Accessories Isotope Triode Glow Fob on a very thin lintel above a doorway, that can be seen from my front door of my home in the dark. If I follow the glow, I know that I am on a cleared path, without tripping. I also laid out some yoga mats along that path. The slight springy feel and the low chance of tripping on them helps me stay safe.
I also use 3xLED Automatic Dusk To Dawn Nightlights that are plugged into power points but are switched off. I switch them on as needed.

AmbuCan I suggest you try an inexpensive motion sensor night light?....they are a thing. 👍

AmbuGood idea for traditional sensible people.
I find the fob (or even just the light sources) so very very tiny that it fits anywhere ir the tiny place above doorways.
No replacement cost.
