Even in the digital world, writing with a pen and paper is awfully refreshing. TEC Accessories thinks so, too, which is why the company created the Ko-Axis Rail Pen: a low-profile, super-comfortable pen that’s as enjoyable to write with as it is easy to refill and deploy Read More
I have one and I love it. If I don't have a fountain pen on my I use this. It seems gimicky and strange but it actually is very comfortable to write with. One handed activation is really useful which is nice. Magnet is strong and the brass patina is nice.
They over marketed it (AIRCRAFT GRADE ALOOOMINOOOOM) but it is still good. It is comfortable and looks nice. Fits in my pocket next to my notebook and wallet and since it is flat I don't even notice it. I plan on buying another. Everyone who sees it and writes with it likes it.
I just got mine. My first impression is that this pen feels really nicely built and the packaging was nice too.
As for the ergonomics... I am really struggling to hold the pen and write properly with it lol though my handwriting was never great in the first place.
Pretty cool design, but also pretty gimmicky. The type of thing I buy, play with a little bit, then throw in a junk drawer. Doubt I would ever actually carry or use it. Pretty much just a novelty, which is fine I have many novelty type items like this (for $65 though, maybe a little more than I'd spend for it).
I really like how this pen looks. If it was a fountain pen I'd be all over it. I very infrequently use ballpoints though, now, so the $65 would be a waste for me. :<
ETS8Sure, an all aluminum stonewashed pen may look OK. Our pen design has several different materials which are polished. A stonewashed finish will quite frankly look horrible against those other materials. Also be aware that we would have to separate those parts into a different tumbling/polishing process thereby increasing the cost. I understand that you may prefer a raw aluminum finish, all I am saying is that we have had no request to date (besides you) to create a version of the Ko-Axis with that finish. We will certainly consider it if we continue to get requests.
