It wasn't the length of time to ship, as waiting is part of the Drop experience and if that really bothered me, I'd shop elsewhere. It was more the actual date chosen. April 1st being April Fool's Day and all. It was just the raving smart-ass in me coming out.

Seems to be fairly sleek and lightweight. It’s hard to overlook the fact though, that you can order a Prometheus Kappa quick release in copper or brass any time and even at full price, still pay five bucks less.

Major_InfidelI have a few of the delrin ones to hold together my RV side compartment keys and have only good things to say about them.

Major_InfidelYep, but it's copper or brass (or even nickel), so not quite the same. You could even go so far as to say a plastic one should be even less expensive (they have Delrin and Lexan). But the Kappa in titanium would be comparable, yet is ten bucks more, making it five more than this example.

Besides the quick release component being sold on this Drop, what is the “TEC” thingy attached to the key ring as shown in the very last picture (9 of 9)? Is it some form of a belt or pocket clip?

Only stainless spring steel. But you can also get them in our Black Diamond finish as well if you prefer the dark side😀
