Is this bright enough to illuminate the door knob of a dark room, or the steps of a dark walkway?

cheeseHey Cheese,
If the room is dark 24/7 it will eventually stop glowing. It needs some kind of light (artificial/sunlight) to "recharge." Hopefully that makes sense.
