Watch arrived today. I have determined that the second hand will not stop when the crown is fully pulled out and held. Is this a defect? Instructions indicate that it should work for synchronization . Please advise. Otherwise it is as expected.

LightninThat is normal. The Miyota 8217 is non-hacking. The included manual is a bit weird in that it's written in a way that is supposed to be instructional. There's an included section for non-hacking movements.
