hitherehelloGotcha. Yeah I think 220v is the standard for a lot of industrial outlets in the USA (but I may be misremembering). Thought there might be an industrial version of the Vechnivorm.
Dr.McCoyIn fact, A lot of countries uses 220v+ as standard. If you take a look at the wiki, almost 2/3 of the world uses 220v.
Just scroll this page through and see how many 110+volts you spotted compared to 220+volts:

The problem with massdrop is that the community is very USA oriented. Most electrical products that pops up in massdrop, I could usually close my eyes and bet that it would be a 110v model.
To make things worst, often times the voltage rating of the product would never be stated on the description. It's like supposed to assume it's 110volts as standard. Then, I would always see someone have to ask in the discussion here.
Isn't Massdrop a international community? It's been years since Massdrop started and I don't see much improvement for support in this aspect.
GallardoA USA company that is very USA oriented??? You don't say!! So crazy.
In all seriousness, yes Massdrop headquarters is in San Francisco, California.
adema24Oh come on... Of course I know Massdrop is a USA company. What I meant is that, they could better handle the information and be more welcoming since it's a global platform and there's so many people from overseas using it.
Other global platforms almost always do mention voltage ratings as it is important. But 50% of the time, the drops here simply just doesn't put, and people always have to ask in the discussions!
The current Bonavita 1L Gooseneck kettle did put in the specs 120 Volts. Great.
But the Little Dot MKII Tube amp? I've to click on the picture and play detective to see a 110 Volts sticker.
This is where I meant it is simply assumed like walking into a local store and expect every appliances to be catered to local voltages... So this is a USA platform, everything should naturally be assumed to be 110+ volts. Foreigners are not welcomed.
GallardoJust FYI, Little Dot mk2 comes in 110 & 220V versions, you can select your voltage & valves when you join the drop. I can highly recommend it BTW.
consolationOk, thx for the info... I'm more interested in Dark Voice actually. I want to pair it with my HD600. But I think if I order from Aliexpress directly, with the shipping should be cheaper for me.
That further proofs my point, why it ain't written in the description, and sometime I see people ask about it in the discussion, it wasn't replied. But we've to click to "pretend" adding to cart to see if the option is available.
GallardoMy gf got the dark voice, off shelf it's definitely better, but with the right valves, LDii can sound better. There's a greater variety of nib vintage valves for LD2 too: so you can customise it, to your taste, much cheaper and easier. DV is a mighty fine amp too, however.
