From its icy white band to its crystalline dial, The TechnoMarine Technocell looks like something carved out of an arctic cave. An automatic timepiece with a 24-jerwel caliber SII NH70 movement, the watch is made of stainless steel and water resistant to an impressive 200 meters Read More
Does anybody know when this watch will get here? It’s saying the estimated ship date for me is feb 15 so does mean when it’s supposed to get here or when it’ll ship? And could it get here sooner?
Geez,
Like I need another watch. I’m researching this brand at present to see if they offer factory service. I lost my most favorite watch because of mall battery replacement.
Every since then only the factory opens my backs. Mind you it’s more expensive but my watches are not run of the mill either. Sometimes they need overhauling...ouch!
This seems like a decent price on a watch I don’t have to treat like the others.
‘Read everybody’s comments too and still I’m intrigued sooooo... I’ll just hit the remind button.
Add thus found a black version of this watch for $79 out of stock they previously sold it at $550 and dropped it to $79.
This would force me to buy a watch winder alas Drop selling a good one right now.
OfframpIf you need a beater that you can actually tell the time on, just get a 40-50 dollar G-Shock. Or something from Citizen with eco drive. If you want to dip your toes into the automatic watch world at beater prices, I would recommend something like a Seiko 5 or even an Invicta Pro Diver (blatant Rolex Sub imitation but a really solid watch at a fair price.)
And you don't need a winder. Nobody really does. They're just nice to have, especially if you have some automatic watches with multiple complications that are a pain to frequently set, like moon phase. Otherwise, just take a minute and set your watch if it stops.
That face is just...way too busy for me. A watch face shouldn't be an MC Escher painting or an Anduril UI diagram just to check the time. The worst part is, it isn't busy with extraneous information, it's just obfuscating the basic function of a watch.
Clearly people love to hate on this one. But I do appreciate them trying something new with the design. I might actually be interested in buying one just to own something "different" in my collection. But I'm saving up for a decent "normal" automatic first. Maybe a Seiko or Orient.
MrJAMSYou will pick up an Orient for less than an equivalent Seiko, probably have to pay $120 usd. plus for something nice. JS have a good choice of both brands at present.
