I own a pair of SONAB OD-11, love them to death. Stig was a brilliant sound engineer, these are a bit hefty for my wallet though, excellent speakers nonetheless.

OmnicideI'm curious how they compare to the apple homepod... also what makes someone pay this much for a speaker? I'm intrigued since I like Teenage Engineering but I can't decide if it's worth it? I do care about sound quality a LOT... the homepods sound pretty good.... then again I haven't listened to a high end bluetooth speaker (best sound I've listened to are Adam/Genelec studio monitors.

dvprkThey are a modern re-issue of a very old speaker that has attained a cult following, designed by the Swedish ortho acoustic guru DR. Stig Carlsson. They are made with a different principle in mind than your traditional speaker, they are meant to be used in a room in a way that not many other speakers are, the reflections from walls/ceiling are calculated in to make them "sound right" in a room whilst other speakers aim for linearity in a an-echoic chamber.
