The new Exclusive Series from TFZ maintains the great value the company is known for—the kind of value that’s earned it a loyal following on Head-Fi and other audio forums. Plus, this series ups the ante with removable two-pin cables in every model Read More
Well I bought the exclusive 5s and they are warm and relaxing to listen too. Detail and clarity could be better and the highs are a little too much with the stock cable, changed it to a third party silver cable and the highs feel reduced and the overall sound is smoother
Purchased the black Exclusive 5's.
Pros:
- Packaging is premium
- The braided cable is nice and durable. A comfortable length for listening on a laptop or portable device. I appreciate that the cable is easily replaceable, and disconnects if you want. The connection to the earpiece is solid.
- Lots of options for tips. I tried all of them, and went with the smallest.
- Outstanding sound for the price. These will benefit from some light EQing, but can handle the extremes. They sound pretty flat to me. A little bit tinny, at first but EQing helped a lot.
- The noise canceling on these is so good, I'll often just leave them in at work if the office gets loud. There is no sound bleed.
Cons:
- Soundstage is pretty nonexistent, but I wouldn't expect it to be on IEMs at < $65. This can feel a little claustrophobic, but I find it perfect for an open office.
If I lost these or they broke for some reason, I'd definitely try and get another pair. They're just such an insane value.
I purchased the Exclusive 5.
I have not done rough usage, but the contact on the right side became poor contact in about a month.
After contacting Massdrop I was told to contact TFZ.
I sent it to the contact form of TFZ's website and e-mail address but there is no reply for months
After all, I disassembled myself and fixed it.
Although the sound and appearance are good for the price, it is easy to break down and there is no support.
There are high quality ear buds. The cords are thick, strong and resist knotting. They also detach from the buds. The weight of these ears buds are just right for keeping them in your ears when you are working out. I have been using them for the better part of a year now. The sound quality is quite good, very detailed, although the sound stage is somewhat cramped. The sound is does not compare with my Beyerdynamic DT990's.
Got the TFZ Exclusive King. Love the way they sound. I'm treble sensitive and the highs in these are at the perfect level for me. Clear, but not painful to listen to. Bass is solid and not overpowering. Also have the TFZ Series 5, which I wouldn't call overpowering in terms of bass, but I prefer the more neutral sound that the Kings have.
It came with a huge selection of tips both single and double flanged + a clip.
I've had these for 3 years now. After the first few months, the white-semi transparent cable started to turn a blueish turquoise in some spots. Doesn't wipe off and it never touched anything that color so I assume it's some weird chemical reaction?
