SanzinWith all due respect, no you could not - and I will explain why. 1) We use only European hides, because in Europe we do not use barbwire fencing which scars the leather. 2) We use only full grain leather. 3) These are vegetable tanned, which can take months to dye, this process uses all natural eco friendly ingredients. 4) These are hand made one at a time by leather smiths. These could be manufactured using bonded leather, mass produced, in a country & factory that is not desirable, using chemicals that are not environmentally friendly........but that is why there is a price difference between a Rolls Royce & a Chevy. Here is the tanning facility https://www.masure.be/en/history-of-tannery-masure Cheers, Adam
DrueThanks for the response. I've seen them a month or two out. But March was too long. I ended up picking one up from Etsy for a similar price. Let me know if you want the link.
I love the idea and look. I'm concerned on mouse performance though. Has anyone used one like this for gaming? I feel like it may not move as smoothly or consistent as a normal pad does. For daily work it may not be an issue but for gaming I wonder...
ragedemonsIt'll work okay. The surface should be sufficiently smooth, but it's going to wear over time.
I'm partial to an aluminum surface with a lightly textured polycarbonate covering, for gaming. The cool kids are using neoprene or something, these days, though; like the crappy pads we used in the 90s, but more bigger.
