Product Description
Done in the increasingly popular 1800 layout, the TKC1800 has a full numpad, arrows, and function keys—but, to save desk space, it’s significantly shorter than a typical fullsize board. The TKC1800 is brainchild of user u/M1kehoncho as an affordable point of entry into the world of custom mechanical keyboards Read More

Extremely disappointed with Massdrop. Ordered two kits but only received one. Still waiting for CS to respond.
This is the second time in a row Massdrop has shorted me - My Space Cadet order was incomplete, and the shipment containing replacements seems to have gone missing.
***UPDATE: Massdrop has refunded me $149 for the missing kit (ignoring the costs I paid for shipping and import tax). This is not an acceptable resolution for me - I want the kit, not an incomplete refund.
Please make this right @XiK and @YanboWu - I really don't want to have to air my grievances on Reddit
Still a Newb, so excuse the dumb questions.
I am looking at switches and noticed that Cherry offers an LED model. Will this PCB and QMK support programming the LED/
As an aside, my rookie mistake in the drop was to specify the ALP plate instead of the MX plate, so I will be picking up a separate MX plate from TKC. Trying to avoid a similar mistake with switches.
Thanks,
Newb here so bear with the question.
I know these keyboards last a long time but assuming there is an issue with the PCB in a couple years, where would I get a replacement? The switches and caps are a no brainer, I have not been around the community long enough to understand the PCB sourcing.
Thanks
LuscombeThe TKC-1800 has a custom designed PCB that you can source directly from The Key Company's Website. The board is close to bullet proof at this point, but should you have any questions or issues, @TheKeyDotCompany has been great about directing any concerns to the rest of the team so we can help troubleshoot. You can get in touch here.
XTaranKeep in mind too that the connector is inside the housing on the PCB itself. Not a big deal or anything, but with some custom cables a coil might interfere with that depending on its position.
Alright, this is a dope drop. Excellent board with pretty quick shipping. Great price too. Especially considering the plate/LED options and Alps compatability. Tempted to pick this up and sell off the Punchy1800 I have coming in.
KoatlEven despite the Punchy 1800 has an aluminum case and the TKC1800 "only" has a (vintage-ish) plastic case?
Then again, I somehow dislike the bezel design of the Punchy while I like the timeless Cherry case design. So I'd prefer the TKC1800 over the Punchy 1800, too. (I though also have a KBD19X kit here, which looks IMHO looks much more decent than the Punchy 1800.)

XTaranI picked up one of these over the punchy myself. The full aluminum case on the punchy just seemed excessive to me, while these have a good weight to them despite being plastic.
If anyone is interested in the nardo grey case with an orange aluminum plate, let me know. I am selling an unbuilt kit. You can contact me (same username) on mechmarket. I was trying to go with a carbon theme.
I bought an extra, I already have a white tkc1800 and loved it.
