Any idea how long the elasticity of the product would hold together for? I think the clip would make it uncomfortable and bulkier so maybe strap is better?

dukatiFrom reviews I have read the elastic holds up for very long and is fairly reliable. And when your strap is no longer up to par, they sell modular straps so you can just replace it instead of the whole unit.
