EfuzzmanEI agree, the Jungle Blanket is fantastic and very light. I love mine. Warm and packs down small. Massdrop sold them for a while. I am not sure they are still available.
54” x 66” ...
... is small for ANY purpose, other than a throw, and you don’t need treated canvas and quilted twill for that! Then too, FOUR POUNDS for a SMALL blanket! Good grief, you can get a medium-weight queen wool blanket for that weight. You know, one that 2 people can *actually* use.
If you want a blanket, buy at least a twin (66” x 90”), and if you want some weathproofing, use a lightweight groundsheet. Even in wool, you’ll be lighter and better off in every way.
Minimum dimensions of 6 ft X 5 ft. This blanket is not good any smaller as it would not even be big enough for a bivy. Also too heavy, and the shipping? Woof!!! Does no one ever look at the item cost / shipping cost ratio? There have to be better options.
BthePMy youngest daughter married a Canadian and moved up there from Florida. She likes to order things and have them mailed to me so I can send them to her. I told her to stop doing that because the mailing costs are not just outrageous but ridiculously expensive.
