What timing. Just today I was able to video the end of a spin (Mk1 brass/ceramic), and come to a complete stop....standing vertical! It's happened to me a couple of times before when spinning on a cosmetic mirror. I've been able to shoot a couple still pics. Which are cool, but nothing like actually seeing it wind down in speed, then just stop. Pretty crazy lucky timing.
Now I really want a pristine copper with ruby bearing. Just to keep perfect for show next to my beat around copper and brass Mk1's.
Standing stop FTW! Upload to YouTube and post a link, would love to see that.
I don't have a YouTube account yet, but I'll see what I can do about that this weekend. I tried uploading to TinyPic, but it just kept timing out.
Or Instagram and tag @Massdrop, either/both would be sweet. Thanks for giving it a shot.
Ok, I got it uploaded. Not exactly a professional video. I was just talking with a work associate while I was holding the camera on the top. I didn't really expect it to happen in the first few spins of the day. Thought maybe I'd be recording the end of a ton of spins. And with each spin running 10-17 minutes , thought it would be a very long process. I originally got about the last 6 minutes of this one. But cut it down to 3, since the interesting part is really just the last few seconds.
Full stop at 1:48 in the video.
