Received my airmat today. Thanks. This one weighed 18 ounces, not the advertised 15 ounces. So I'm curious if the pads others received are the 15 ounces and just mine is heavier, or are they all over the weight that you told us.

One month to arrive! Maybe I missed something , maybe I do not understand how Massdrip works but this was my first and my last order from here. the weight was is not worth it, I could have used it in several trips by then and when it comes in it will be to warm to use it untill next fall. #massdropfail

rfederationThe whole concept of this website is group buys which trades the quick delivery portion of retail for discounts in pricing. They always state the expected delivery date--which many times gets bumped even later, so don't buy here if you need it right away as most things ship from China and have variable timelines.
Have you contacted support? They may be able to cancel your order.

Is the large version of this pad mummy shaped, as the weight spec indicates, or rectangular, as the product picture (when large option is selected) at checkout indicates?

devissageThis drop is for the regular Xtherms. The rectangular shaped ones are a different product, "Xtherm MAX" which are not being offered this drop. Likely Massdrop forgot to change the picture for this drop. I've seen that happen before.

Does this XTherm have the typical limited lifetime warranty from Therm-a-Rest? It's not mentioned on the drop page.

dan1Yes, regular warranty just like you'd get if you bought it from REI.

This is an excellent price for the lightest mattress that is also quite warm. I would jump on this deal, except I already have a NeoAir All-Season (heavier and not as warm, but nonetheless somewhat light and somewhat warm), and I also have a NeoAir XLite, which reportedly can be used at surprisingly low temperatures, and during the winter I always bring along a Thermarest Z-Lite anyway for supplemental warmth and as a backup in case of a catastrophic leak.

Hopping, there will be a short and wide version in the future. Got the regular version from the last drop.

Joe_HTherm-a-Rest does not make a short Xtherm. (But like you, I'm hoping they will in the future.) I wrote this in an earlier comment to someone else looking for a short one: ---- 22W Years ago they made a 47" and a 66" in the Xtherm. Both were 20" wide. I imagine they didn't sell as well and thus discontinued them. Just a guess though.
http://www.moontrail.com/therm-a-rest-neoair-xtherm-small.php --- p.s. you can always cut down one and heat seal, but you void your warranty. I bought one last fall from here for that purpose. Haven't done the deed yet though.

I was a part of the last drop for this. I got the pad and tried it out in my living room; all seemed well. When I went to take it on a recent trip to Utah, however, it kept deflating overnight. I would wake up every 3ish hours to have to reinflate it. I could see that happening over time, but not for my very first times using it. I was careful not to set up camp over anything sharp, and it happened the very first night, when I slept on snow, so I'm certain it came with a micropuncture.
Is there anyone from Therm-a-Rest in this discussion, or should I just reach out to them and see what they say? I feel like I got a defective unit.
When it's inflated, this is the best pad I've ever owned.

charliegthat's too bad. I developed a leak after having mine for over 4 years. I found the leak in it by dunking it in the bathtub and holding it down, waiting, listening, watching. It was a very tiny pin hole and I was able to patch it with the patch kit that is included and I haven't had a problem since.

Yes, definitely contact Therm-a-Rest for a replacement. They have very good customer service and stand by their products. When I first got my Xtherm I inflated it, covered it evenly in books to simulate me sleeping on it, and left it for a few days to confirm it had zero holes, since now and then it seems there are manufacturing/packaging errors.
