Does anyone have trouble with drives disconnecting during large data transfers when using a docking station like this?
I've tried dragging and dropping, macrium reflect and after a couple minutes in my drives always drop out. It's connected via USB3.0. I've tried, 500gb Seagate, 500gb Western Digital and a 1TB Western Digital all with the same result. RMA'd the first to the manufacturer and still the same. Maybe just a bad product?

JDZZLI've not had any issues moving large amounts of data. Have you tested the cables?

gattacaaceHmm, I'l have to give that a go. The USB 3.0 ports have worked for everything else and I always just assume the cables are never the problem... Of course, in trouble shooting assuming is a good way to waste time :) thanks!!

JDZZLThe drives are over-heating. Try putting a powerful fan over them (server-grade Sunon or Delta fans work quite well, the loud ones).

SkipPpFYI, you can always test this by loading up an SSD. If the SSD works, then it is not the dock. Also, make sure the dock is not moving. HDD's need to be still. If you bumb them or if they move around from spinning, it will ofen kill the job.
